Make the most of the life you want
The things you mean to do with the people you love, planned properly and remembered afterwards. On your own, or with anybody you like.
Most good intentions die in a group chat
Everybody agrees it would be lovely. Nobody picks a date. Two years go by, and the thing that was going to be the best week of the year is still a message you scrolled past.
One · keep them somewhere
Every idea in one place, not in your head
The trip you keep mentioning, the course you saw in the paper, the thing your daughter said she would love to do. Yours alone, or shared with the people it involves.
The Llŷn coast path, one day
Two · give one of them a date
What it costs, when to go, who is coming
A price you can trust, the weekend that genuinely suits all five of you, everything that needs booking and who is doing it, and a way for people to chip in that never touches us.
Sat 14 Nov · £680 est. · four of you
Three · keep what happened
Written down while you still remember it
Everybody's photographs in one place, what it really came to, and it told in your words. In your own voice too, if you like, which is the part your family will thank you for.
"Five days of rain and we minded none of it"
Six of the reasons people start
Nobody arrives here wanting an app. They arrive with a summer to sort out, a retirement they have been avoiding, or a date four friends cannot agree.
The summer holidays
Six weeks, two other families and the grandparents, and I was the one holding all of it.
Everybody put ideas in, the days got sorted into something you could read, and the grandparents had a day by day plan on paper. The photographs came back into the same place afterwards, so August exists properly now instead of on four different phones.
Retirement
I had been meaning to sort out my retirement for two years, and it was so big I kept not starting.
It came apart into things with an order to them: what happens first, what can wait, what costs money and when. I am doing the things I always put off, and I finally know what order to do them in.
The friends you never see
We had been saying we should get everybody together for about four years.
Everybody said which weekends they could do, and the ones that suited all seven came back. Nobody had to see anybody else's diary, and nobody had to be the person chasing it. We went in March.
After somebody dies
When Mum died we had her story, in her own words, and I cannot tell you what that was worth.
Her family asked her the things they wanted to know, she answered when she felt like it, and some of it is her voice. It was written out properly before we needed it, which is the only time that can happen.
The two of you
We planned together and found out we wanted quite different things, which was a surprise after all this time.
Asked apart and shown together, so neither of us was talking the other round. What came back was the overlap, and the one thing each of us wanted that the other had never known to offer.
Another year gone
I was fed up with getting to December and thinking about the things I had meant to do.
Three things a month, with a reason each and a date on them. Not a longer list: a shorter one, and it turns out that is the difference between meaning to and going.
These are the situations we built it for. When there are people using it, their words go here instead of ours.

And somebody does the legwork
Hello. I am Alfred.
I have spent a lifetime arranging things for other people, and I am here for the whole of it rather than only the booking. I know what things cost, when to go, and what people usually forget.
I turn up on the one thing I have something useful to say about, in a few lines with my name underneath, and then I am gone. There is no chat to keep up with and nothing to dismiss. I will not decide anything or book anything, and I will always tell you what I cannot know.
Think of me as a guide, and some help along the way. I will not tell you how you ought to be living and there is no score anywhere in this app: my job is simply that more of your time goes on the things you will be glad of. If you would rather I were somebody else, change my face and my name, and I will sign everything with it.
What he actually does
Every week
What is coming up, the one thing waiting on you, and anything worth knowing: the tide, the fares, when half term ends.
Whenever you are planning something
What it is likely to cost, the tasks in the right order, and a briefing note before you go. Every figure is an estimate and yours to overrule.
When four of you need a date
The weekends that suit everybody, worked out without anybody showing anybody their diary.
Once a month
Three things worth doing, each with a date, a cost and the reason it is now. Accept one and it becomes real. Saying not this month is a complete answer.
Afterwards
Your photographs sorted, the thank-yous drafted, and what happened written down while you still remember it.

Where your time actually went, with nothing to hit and nothing to be behind on.
What is actually in it

What you might do
Where an idea lands, from a fortnight in Japan to a hedge that wants replacing. Make a board, choose who is on it, and put ideas up together: one for the family, one with friends, one just for you.

What you are making happen
An idea with intent behind it becomes a bucket: the big beats, the small jobs, what it will cost and who is coming. The things you keep doing live here as well.
A target you can keep vague · milestones and tasks · a saving goal · money other people chip in · polls, chat and settling up when it is shared · packing and a day by day for a trip · sea swims counted, never scored

And Alfred
Not a place, a signature. He works inside those five and signs what he says, so there is never a sixth thing to go and check.
The tide is right on Saturday morning, and you have a clear stretch after the 25th if you would rather go then.
What matters, what is possible, and what would fit
Most of us know roughly what we would like our lives to have in them. The hard part is working out which of it is actually possible this year, and when.
What matters
Learned from what you decide, never from a questionnaire
Nobody can answer "what do you want from life" in a text box. But choose six days over four because your dad would otherwise be driving, and something true has been said. It is written down, shown back to you, and yours to correct.
"You want to travel while the knee holds up." Said three times since June
What is possible
A dream with a price on it stops being a fantasy
What it really costs, how long it really takes, and the months it is worth going. Including the honest answer: Venice in October is the wettest month, and four hours each way needs a longer weekend than you have.
£3,200 est. · better in May · six days, not four
What would fit
A free fortnight and a saved idea, put together
You have a clear stretch from the 25th, and there is something on your board that suits it. That is the whole trick, and it is why things start happening. Nobody is ever told their year is looking empty.
Clear from the 25th · the starlings go by February
What it looks like on a Thursday
Your week, and where the year has gone
One week at a time, because once a week is a healthy rhythm for a life. What is coming, what is waiting on you, and where you have room.
An open fortnight is capacity, not a hole. The app will tell you the 25th is clear; it will never count how many of your months are bare, or work out how far short of some ideal life you are.
And once in a while, plainly, where your time actually went. Numbers that only go up, no target to hit, and nothing you can be behind on.

The last Sunday of the month, unasked
This is the whole product, once a month
Three things, with a date, a cost and the reason it is now rather than someday. Never ten, never a list of what you have not got round to. One of them costs nothing, because a life made of two hundred pound weekends is somebody else's life.
Say yes and it becomes real: a date in your calendar, the two or three things that need doing, and the people who should know. Say not this month and he says nothing more about it.

Your mum's, the four of you
You said about once a month, and this Sunday is clear.
What I left out, and why
Venice, because October is the wettest month there and you would spend it indoors. The Llŷn coast path, because four hours each way wants a longer weekend than this one. Both still on your board.
Nothing here has been booked and nobody has been contacted.
Almost nothing good is done alone
Everything here works with other people, and they never pay anything. There is no feed, nobody follows anybody, nothing is public, and nothing you do is counted or compared.
The two of you
One board between you, and the same question asked of you both and answered apart. What you both want, and the one thing only he wants.
Friends, and the date nobody can agree
Everybody says which weekends they can do, and the ones that suit all five come back. Nobody sees anybody else's diary.
Family, and the money
For a seventieth or a wedding, people put money toward it and are thanked for what it actually paid for. It goes straight from them to you.
The ones you keep doing
The sea swim, the walking group, Sunday lunch at your mum's. Not trips with an ending, so they live here differently, and they add up.
And it adds up to something
Your life story, in your own words
Everything you do here quietly becomes the record of it. Not a photo library and not a diary you have to keep: the things you meant to do, what happened when you did them, and the line you wrote about it at the time.
Then the parts that came before us. Alfred asks you one thing on a quiet Sunday, your family can ask you the questions they have always wondered about, and you can answer out loud, which is the version they will actually want.

Why we are building it
Extraordinary lives are built from ordinary days
A walk with somebody you love. A conversation that changes your mind. The first cold swim of the year. Somewhere you have never been, forty minutes from your house. These are the moments that become memories, and our memories are what a life turns out to have been.

Four things we will not do
Worth saying plainly, because most of what this looks like from the outside is something else.
Book anything
He works it out and tells you what he cannot know. You do the booking, where you always did it.
Hold your money
When people chip in for a seventieth it goes straight from them to you. We take no fee and never touch a penny of it.
Count anything
No score for your life, no streak to break, nothing compared with anybody. A quiet month is a quiet month.
Keep hold of your things
Stop whenever you like and take the lot with you, written out properly so it can be read in thirty years.
Stop saying one day
It takes about ninety seconds to start, and you will have something on your board by the end of it.
